After we left the orphanage we headed for the Minester of Education's office. We had to be interviewed by her and she had to give us the stamp of approval to visit Alex the rest of the week. One little tidbit I forgot to mention was his given name. Ivanov Alexander. We had the name Alek picked out for a boy and when they told us his name was Alexander we couldn't change it so his name is to be Alexander Michael Fitch. Meant to be huh??
Our visit with the MOE was very quick. Nervewracking but quick. LOL She asked us a few questions and we chit chatted for a little bit. She signed the paper saying we could visit the orphanage and away we went. By this time we were ready for lunch. So we stopped and had a bite to eat and make a quick phone call home. We ate at a place called Quick Chick. LOL It was sort of like a KFC. Very good food. Then we went to the internet cafe to call home. Lena was a stickler on time and I could only talk to Mom for like 2 minutes. Both of us crying the whole time. I did manage to tell her he had blonde hair and blue eyes about 15 pounds and 25 inches tall. I asked her to relay the info to Michael's Dad and Mom and anyone else that needed to know.
Then we were off for a bit longer visit with Alex. YEAH!!!!!!!!
